Darin McGowan - A Tragedy
based on the novella, “Darin McGowan - A Comedy”

Darin was born the unfortunate love child of Pablo Picasso and Lou
Costello. -Abandoned after birth, Darin
escaped his orphanage in a similarly abandoned jet pack that he
found in a nearby gutter. -Drifting
from town to town since his seventh year, Darin experienced the
ups and downs of every artist and mad man at an early age.-
On his tenth birthday, he was brought aboard a UFO and given painting
lessons by Dr. Xygggsszztly Dor Addleypuss, assistant chief orfalator.
-Having learned all that the cosmos
had to offer, Darin landed safely in Hollywood, California in 1999.-
Bidding a sad goodbye to Dr. Xygggsszztly and his UFO classmates,
Zarhhh Plutonimous, Bruphtzackx Blortoh and Francis Jor-Ello, Darin
set out to make a living as an artist. -Accepting
a job in animation, Darin started storyboarding for many well known
Earth cartoons. -Five years later and
currently, Darin still enjoys the life of a storyboard artist but
misses the good old days in outer space with his alien art class.
-He’s started painting again
and is ready to unleash his work to the unsuspecting Los Angeles
counterculture. -You’ve been
warned.
